My name is Katie Jonas and welcome to my blog!

Here’s a photo of myself and baby Arlo taking the gondola to the top of the mountain in Austria. These are the sort of adventures I would like to write about.

In the space of 2 years I went from travelling the world as a professional snowboarder…… to getting married, buying a house and becoming a mum! Its been a whirlwind and a BIG adjustment. My life as I knew it had been turned upside down.

For a while I tried to become a domestic goddess and stay at home mum, but it just wasn’t working out for me, or baby Arlo for that matter.

The crunch point was the day I accidentally left the front door open and Arlo had made his way into the driveway in his bid for freedom (‘Mother Of The Year Award’ goes to me!) So at this point I decided I wanted to take a more free spirited kind of approach to motherhood and expose Arlo to lots of thrilling experiences. I didn’t want to loose my sense of adventure now I had a baby. I would describe Arlo as a “wild” baby, so I think he needs to get his adrenaline fix too!

And hopefully in turn this will motivate me to think of exciting things to do with Arlo so I have stuff to write about……(with the exception of some slob days where we will stay in our PJs, eat chocolate and watch Loose Women!!!)

So here are the trials and tribulations of my mum endevours and my journey into motherhood. Also my “coming to terms” with the fact I’m no longer a snowboarder (well not in the same capacity as before anyway!)
